Community Church Tadley is a church consisting of people of different ages and from different social, educational and racial backgrounds.
We seek to live as a community in a Christ-like way for God’s glory. We believe that God has brought us together as people to live out, personally and corporately, his life of truth and love both to one another and to others.
For us every member is significant and has a place of belonging and service. We believe that being Christians affects the whole of life, whether in the home, at work, in the neighbourhood or wherever we are in society.
Therefore, we aim to bring the good news of Jesus to our community and be a transforming influence to it. We have lived out this ethos consistently since the 1980s, with members from the church being engaged in many aspects of local community life throughout that period.
Tadley Community Church draws its members mainly from Tadley and the surrounding villages of Ashford Hill, Headley, Baughurst, Kingsclere, Pamber End, Pamber Heath, Silchester and Mortimer.
As a church we are part of Basingstoke Community Churches and we work closely with the other churches in Tadley through Churches Together around Tadley (CTAT).
We also have international involvement, with members of our church serving overseas. We have particularly strong links with Tanzania, Uganda and Mexico.
Community Church Tadley believes in being heavily involved in the community around us and therefore we work jointly with various local organisations who are working to improve the town and community spirit. We work closely with the other churches in Churches Together Around Tadley, with a number of shared local events and activities (some of which we have listed below). We also work with Age Concern Hampshire to run the Tadley Lunch Club.
Partner churches in Churches Together Around Tadley are:
St Paul’s, St Peter’s and St Luke’s (Anglican)
St Mary’s Tadley North (Anglican)
St Mary The Virgin Silchester (Anglican)
St Michael’s (Roman Catholic)
We are part of Basingstoke Community Churches (BCCs), and were originally planted as one of the BCCs churches.
Community Church Tadley is part of a family of churches in Southern England who are collectively called “Forge“.
Choose from any of the many different activities, events and meetings we participate in either as a part of our church, or with other churches in Tadley, or with the broader community
There are many ways to engage with us, just as there are many ways in which to connect with Jesus through His Church. Get in touch, or connect through social media. Better still, come to one of the many events coming up.
