Sunday Service

Sunday Service

During the COVID-19 outbreak we are not having physical Sunday morning gatherings, but are gathering on Sunday mornings via Zoom at 10:30am. You are very welcome to join us at these gatherings using Zoom Meeting ID 930 514 5424 and passcode 470138. We also record our Sunday mornings and post them to YouTube later in the day, and you can normally find the recording (along with previous weeks by Sunday evening at

We will post details here of our plans to return to the building, which we currently anticipate doing in mid January 2021.

Our Sunday morning services are informal in nature, and we work hard to make them welcoming and comfortable for those who are new to church.

We normally start with our worship band leading us in sung worship using contemporary worship songs. Our worship is lively and includes singing, prayer, and giving thanks to God.

We believe in every member of the church playing a part in the life of the church. You will hear individual members talking about how God has been at work in their lives. Others will bring thoughts, words or poems to encourage others in the church.

We are a Bible-believing church, so we normally follow our sung worship with a 20-30 minute sermon, usually by one of our own members or leaders. The meeting usually lasts until about 12:00, and we finish with time together over drinks and biscuits.

Other useful information

Other aspects of Sunday mornings include:

  • On the first Sunday of the month we normally take an offering. Please don’t feel any obligation to give: our members support our church well!
  • On the second Sunday of the month we generally take communion together during the service. Everyone who is a follower of Jesus is welcome to join us in this, and to take part fully.
  • During school holidays we mostly have an all-age service, which is usually shorter with a brief talk suitable for all ages.
  • During school term time we operate Children’s Church each Sunday, and the Destiny group for teenagers one Sunday a month. These groups function from about 11:00-12:00.
  • Once or twice a term we will have Café-style church, where we sit at tables together and have refreshments and snacks available throughout. On these Sundays we normally have a shorter, all-age talk.

Please do check the church calendar to be certain that we’re going to be meeting at The Link before coming along. There are four or five Sundays a year when we don’t meet there.

Your questions answered

Is there parking? Yes – there’s plenty of free parking in The Link car park and a car park opposite. On arrival, please ask the door stewards for a parking permit to put in your car.

Is the building accessible? Yes – everything is on one level without steps, the doors are wide and there are disabled toilet facilities. We are used to having wheelchair users in our meetings.

Will there be communion? We normally take communion once a month, and welcome anyone with a Christian faith to join with us in that.

Will there be an offering? We only take an offering once a month, on the first Sunday of the month. We don’t expect visitors to contribute to that and there’s no need to feel embarrassed about that.

Is there a dress code? No – come as you are: everyone else does!

What time do you finish? We normally aim to finish our service by 12:00 noon, although on rare occasions it might continue until 12:15 at the very latest. We have tea, coffee and cold drinks afterwards.

Cafe Chat

Join us for a tea or coffee after the service at 12:30 in Cafe Retreat. It’s a chance to hang out, ask questions and make new friends.

Most of our Sunday talks are recorded for church members, visitors or those interested to download and listen to.

Minibus Trips

We organise minibus trips to places of interest every couple of months. Find out more here.

There are many ways to engage with us, just as there are many ways in which to connect with Jesus through His Church. Get in touch, or connect through social media. Better still, come to one of the many events coming up.
