Alan and Vicky Braseby, who lead the team of volunteers who run the Tadley Age Concern Lunch Cub were presented with a Tadley Town Council Good Citizen Award on 26th October at the Lunch Club.
Cllr Avril Burdett, Chair of the Tadley Town Council, presented the certificate. These awards are presented to people who have shown exceptional dedication to serving the local community, and Alan and Vicky’s was well-deserved. They have been leading the Age Concern Lunch Club team on behalf of the church now for a number of years, introducing a number of innovations.
What had particularly impressed the Council was their dedication to making every Lunch Club member feel cared for and special. During lockdown last year they organised shopping, prescription collections, and daily phone calls to a large number of the Lunch Club members. They also do a great job of leading the amazing team that puts on the Lunch Club week in and week out throughout the year. A well-deserved award indeed!
